Celtic Ren Fest Warrior Merida Brave Cosplay

We dressed as Warrior Merida and William Wallace for Celtic weekend at the Maryland and STL Renaissance Festivals in 2022. We had an amazing time introducing our niece and nephew to the Ren Fest and traveling to our first out of town Fen Faire with our friends Anne and Geran.

We upgraded Scott’s kilt from 2018 to matching kilts with our friends Geran and Anne. Last time Scott was William Wallace, everyone said “you’re that guy from Brave!” So we ran with the theme, and Geran dressed up as the guy from Brave, Lord Macintosh. Anne was Boudicca, warrior queen of the Iceni tribe of Celtic Britons. My Merida costume was a hodge podge of parts from previous costumes (dress, corset, archery set, and wig). 3D printed the Merida buckle and glued it to an old belt.
