Bridgerton Afternoon Tea and Watch Party

Bridgerton is my absolute favorite show, and I go all-in on the regency vibes! From draping wisteria around the house to hosting elegant afternoon teas, we’ve turned our watch parties for Seasons 2, 3, and Queen Charlotte into full-blown soirées worthy of Lady Whistledown’s attention.

Bridgerton Season 3 Watch Party

We hosted a Season 3 afternoon tea and watch party with a plethora of citrus and feathers in honor of Penelope Featherington. We brought back the Bridgerton Bingo and added a few words for the season couple – Polin (e.g., Featherington, feather, friendship, wallflower, Dearest Reader, travel).

Glorious treats with inspiration from “Romancing Mister Bridgerton” included:

  • Glorious kiss cookies (peanut butter blossoms)
  • Most heavenly eclair (If sin could take solid form, surely it would be a pastry. Preferably one with chocolate.)
  • Penelope’s overripe citrus fruit cake (lemon cakes)
  • Lemonade that left a sour taste in one’s mouth
  • Pen’s pesto turkey tea sandwiches
  • Colin’s chocolate chip scones
  • Bridgerton blueberry scones
  • Ambitious mamas macarons

Bridgerton Season 2 Watch Party

For our 2022 Season 2 watch party, we transformed the afternoon into a Bridgerton-inspired tea worthy of the ton. Drawing on the season’s cultural muse, Kate Sharma, we served Indian Assam Khongea Estate tea alongside a decadent spread of blueberry and chocolate scones, honey cakes, tea sandwiches, eclairs, macarons, cucumber bites, and mini Nothing Bundt Cakes. I even created a custom Bridgerton Bingo with iconic phrases and plot points—mallet of death, bee, debutante, diamond, Whistledown, pianoforte, my Lord, ball, scandal, rake, gossip, spinster, and swoon. The only thing missing was an actual invitation from Lady Danbury herself.

Queen Charlotte Watch Party

In 2023, we returned to the ton for a Queen Charlotte-themed afternoon tea and watch party to celebrate the release of the Bridgerton prequel. I channeled Queen Charlotte herself—complete with a towering wig and a touch of Marie Antoinette flair—while Scott made a dashing Prince Friedrich. We served a regal tea spread similar to our previous gatherings, with all the sweet and savory delights fit for royalty. It was a fête worthy of a royal proclamation (or at least a juicy Whistledown column).
