Bridgerton is my favorite show, and I love hanging the wisteria and hosting a fancy party! We’ve hosted afternoon tea along with our watch parties to binge Season 2 and 3 as well as Queen Charlotte.
Bridgerton Season 3 Watch Party
We hosted as Season 3 afternoon tea and watch party with a plethora of citrus and feathers in honor of Penelope Featherington. We brought back the Bridgerton Bingo and added a few words for the season couple – Polin (e.g., Featherington, feather, friendship, wallflower, Dearest Reader, travel).
Glorious treats with inspiration from “Romancing Mister Bridgerton” included:
- Glorious kiss cookies (peanut butter blossoms)
- Most heavenly eclair (If sin could take solid form, surely it would be a pastry. Preferably one with chocolate.)
- Penelope’s overripe citrus fruit cake (lemon cakes)
- Lemonade that left a sour taste in one’s mouth
- Pen’s pesto turkey tea sandwiches
- Colin’s chocolate chip scones
- Bridgerton blueberry scones
- Ambitious mamas macarons
Bridgerton Season 2 Watch Party
We hosted a Season 2 afternoon tea and watch party in 2022. We had Indian tea (Assam Khongea Estate) to go with the cultural inspiration, Kate Sharma, for the season. Food included blueberry and chocolate scones, honey cakes, Nothing Bundt cakes, tea sandwiches, eclairs, macarons, and cucumber bites. I made a Bridgerton Bingo customized with words I thought would get mentioned during the show (e.g., mallet of death, bee, debutante, diamond, Whistledown, piano forte, my Lord, ball, gossip, scandal, rake, spinster, swoon).
Queen Charlotte Watch Party
We also hosted a Queen Charlotte afternoon tea and watch party in 2023 when this special Bridgerton series came out. I dressed as Queen Charlotte (with a bit of a Marie Antoinette inspiration) and Scott dressed as Prince Friedrich. We had a similar afternoon tea menu as previous parties.
