I love costumes – especially masks – so Mardi Gras is a fun holiday to decorate and dress up for! I added a Mardi Gras table to my St. Patty’s decorations this year 🙂
I repurposed wine bottles of course – the green, gold, and purple bottle in front is my favorite. Hanging beads out of hurricane and martini glasses makes for a beautiful display. We got a bunch of fancy masks at Party City when they had a going out of business sale. I like to wear these with the rest of my silly ensemble to the Soulard Mardi Gras festivities.
Masquerade Work Party
My social team at work coordinated a masquerade party including putting up all the decorations. I brought in my glasses (hurricane, martini, bubble bowls), and we filled them with beads. We bought masks for everyone to wear. We even had a few games including a bead toss, guess the number of candies, and the “No” game (where you start with a set of beads and if you say a “mask” you lost your beads to that person). We had cajun food and cupcakes catered, and I brought in rum balls.

Hi! I’m in New Orleans and love your Mardi Gras centerpiece! Did you paint the bottles? I’d love to know how to make something similar. Thanks!
Hey sorry for the slow response on this. Yeah I spray painted the bottles.
