Baseball, Monumental Moments

Wild Cards

We’ve been reminiscing the 2011 Wild Cards – thanks MLB for streaming the entire World Series Game 6 on YouTube and Facebook on what would have been Opening Day 2020! We were so lucky to be at Game 6, and experience the most amazing game in baseball history! We were also fortunate enough to see the Wild Cards in Game 3 of both the NLDS and NLCS!

The 2011 Wild Cards were a resilient team that never gave up! They made a historical comeback going 23–9 over their final 32 games to erase a 10.5 game deficit, and clinch a Wild Card spot on the last day of the season. The Rally Squirrel crossed home plate during the NLDS Game 4 on October 6, 2011. The rest is history, and we are so glad we got to experience it first-hand!

World Series Game 6

Cardinals 10, Rangers 9 – Box Score

Here are the epic videos Scott took at Game 6 (sorry in advance for my crazy screaming)! I’m still in shock that we came back TWO times to win this game! Definitely the best day of my life! So glad Scott captured the amazingness in HD. Scott’s Freese video is actually in the Cardinals Hall of Fame montage video!

The Rally Squirrels were out in full force, and they worked their magic!

Here are some other memorable moments – Craig’s home run and Pujols’ double!

Championship Parade & Celebration

Of course we went to the celebration festivities!

I even made a cake to celebrate. 🙂

NLCS Game 3

Cardinals 4, Brewers 3 – Box Score

We made an awesome sign for the game! It was such a blast going to this game with my sister and her husband!

NLDS Game 3

Cardinals 2, Phillies 3 – Box Score

We actually had the first Rally Squirrel sighting in Game 3, right before Yadi got an RBI hit!

Here are some pics from the game.
