🕸️ Our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Movie Night – 3D Prints, Pizza & Brand New Day

Not every adventure requires a plane ticket. Sometimes all it takes is a little filament, a themed dinner, and a trip to the theater. To celebrate Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we put together a simple movie night with custom shirts, 3D-printed props, Spider-Man-inspired food, and just enough web-slinging chaos to make the evening feel a little more spectacular. The movie was a hit, and the Spider-Man and Punisher banter was easily one of my favorite parts.

🍽️ Spider-Man-Themed Dinner

With great movie nights comes great responsibility – mostly the responsibility to make dinner match the theme. We made a gluten-free New York-style Spider-Man pizza with a pepperoni mask and BBQ sauce web, plus chocolate-dipped spider web pretzels. The pizza had more personality than precision, but it tasted fantastic and became one of the funniest parts of the night.

⚙️ 3D-Printed Props

To add a few friendly neighborhood touches, I 3D printed a hanging Spider-Man and a Spider-Man helmet for our movie night setup. The helmet made a fun centerpiece, while hanging Spidey spent the evening hovering over the table looking suspiciously like he was waiting for the perfect moment to swing down and steal a slice of pizza.

🕷️ Spider-Man Helmet

I printed a magnetic Spider-Man Brand New Day helmet using my Bambu H2D and A1. The helmet prints in two halves that connect with magnets, and the eyes attach magnetically too, creating a clean finished look once everything is assembled.

🕸️ Hanging Spider-Man

No Spider-Man movie night would be complete without a little web-slinging trouble overhead. I 3D-printed this hanging Spider-Man on my Bambu A1 and suspended him above the table, where he looked less like he was saving the city and more like he was plotting a sneak attack on our pizza. In the photos, he’s hanging right over dinner like he’s just waiting for the perfect moment to swoop in for a slice—which honestly made the setup even funnier.

👕 Spider-Man Shirt

Using the Spider-Man logo, I made Scott a custom shirt on my Cricut Maker, while I brought back my Punisher shirt for the occasion – a fitting choice since the Spider-Man and Punisher banter in Brand New Day ended up being our favorite part of the movie. I also 3D printed a pair of Spider-Man earrings to tie my outfit together and add one more little web-slinging detail to the night.
