I hosted a jungle-themed couples baby shower for my sister, Rachel, and it was hands down the most fun shower I’ve ever thrown! I even made the cake myself—and I’m pretty sure it’s the cutest one I’ve ever created. From hilarious diaper-changing relays to guessing mystery chocolates in diapers and racing to chug milk from baby bottles, the games were just as wild as the theme!
Our family has deep German roots—my grandparents immigrated after WWII, and my maiden name, Schatz, means ‘sweetheart’ or ‘treasure’ in German. So in 2017, we fully embraced a German Christmas theme, and it was wunderbar! From traditional décor to festive treats, everyone got into the spirit of honoring our heritage in the most heartfelt (and gemütlich) way.
