🍇 An Afternoon at Livermore Valley Wineries

Our afternoon in Livermore Valley offered a perfect blend of rich history, laid-back luxury, and world-class wines just beyond the bustle of the Bay Area. We began with a relaxing lunch at the beautiful Concannon Vineyard, one of California’s oldest wineries, before moving on to a tasting at the iconic Wente Vineyards, where old-world tradition meets modern innovation. As the golden afternoon unfolded, we sipped elegant blends at the intimate Murrieta’s Well and soaked in vibrant, sun-drenched views at the lively Ruby Hill Winery. From bold reds to bright whites, each stop showcased the heart and soul of this hidden gem wine region

🌴 Concannon Vineyard

Our afternoon began at Concannon Vineyard, a historic estate where California’s wine story first took root. Over a leisurely lunch, we soaked in the elegant, peaceful atmosphere surrounded by century-old vines. Known as one of the founding names in American wine, Concannon blends deep tradition with relaxed charm, making it the perfect place to start our journey into Livermore’s rich winemaking heritage.

🍷 Wente Vineyards

Next, we made our way to Wente Vineyards, one of the oldest continuously operated family-owned wineries in the country. Here, generations of winemaking expertise met beautifully manicured grounds and a refined yet approachable tasting experience. From crisp Chardonnays to bold estate reds, each glass reflected the craftsmanship and history that have made Wente a true icon of California wine country.

🍷 Murrieta’s Well

In the golden light of late afternoon, we arrived at Murrieta’s Well, a boutique winery steeped in storybook charm. The intimate, reservation-only tastings allowed us to slow down and savor estate-grown blends that showcased the unique terroir of Livermore Valley. With cozy, rustic surroundings and wines crafted with precision and passion, Murrieta’s Well felt like a quiet retreat tucked into the heart of the vineyards.

🍇 Ruby Hill Winery

Tucked along the rolling hills of Livermore Valley, Ruby Hill Winery offered a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that blended casual charm with polished elegance. Known for their rich, fruit-forward wines and gorgeous vineyard views, Ruby Hill made it easy to settle in and savor the moment. From bold Petite Sirahs to smooth estate blends, every pour felt approachable yet crafted with care. With its colorful gardens and relaxed vibe, Ruby Hill was a lively reminder that sometimes the best wine country experiences are the ones that feel a little less hurried and a lot more joyful.
