Loki is my favorite anti-hero, and I loved the new Disney Loki series featuring the many Loki variants, including the beautiful and mischievous Sylvie. I created a renaissance-inspired Loki “delta” variant for the STL Ren Fest Heroes and Villains themed weekend and Sylvie variant for Halloween.
The Corset/Armor
Started by making a manikin via wrapping myself with duck tape over a shirt and saran wrap (could make a nice dress ;). Then cut it off down the back and filled it with old pillow cotton. Shaped separate front and back pieces with a heat gun around the manikin using EVA foam; hand drew the design with a silver Sharpie. Using crunched aluminum foil, ironed on faux leather texture. Then cut out the pieces and glued them with liquid nails on a second EVA bottom corset. For the round neck portion, used black puff paint to give it texture. Spray painted with Krylon satin primer + paint followed by acrylic paint applied with a foam brush. 3D printed the rectangle gems and a “delta” symbol; finished these and the round neck with Gold Leaf Rub ‘N Buff. Added velcro on the sides to attach the front to the back piece.
For the neck armor, used EVA foam, texturized it with a wood burner, and painted with black acrylic paint. Added gold ribbon on the rim and attached at back with velcro.
For the straps, bought faux black leather strips and glued gold ribbon on the edges. Inserted straps through the EVA foam front and back to allow me to tighten them. Used some buckles to attach at the shoulders and velcro on the front corset to keep them from sliding.
The Helmets
Of course I 3D printed all the Loki variant helmets available on Thingiverse: Lady Loki’s (Sylvie Laufeydottir) tiara, Loki (Ragnarok), President Loki, and Alligator Loki (for the cats). Used both my CR6 and CR10 SMART printers depending on the helmet size and black PLA+ with 20% infill. To smooth out prints, used a combo of sanding, wood filler, and spray paint filler. Then finished them with Gold Leaf Rub ‘N Buff and green acrylic (for Loki Ragnarok).
Lady Loki, Sylvie
Made two different variants – antique gold and gold leaf Rub ‘n Buff finishes.
Loki Ragnarok
I made two different variants – a straight gold version and one with green accents (like in Thor Ragnarok).
President Loki
Alligator (Cat) Loki
Frito was a great Alligator Loki and was easy to control with my scepter!
The Weapons
I also 3D printed all the Loki weapons on Thingiverse: Chitauri Scepter (Loki’s Short Staff), Loki’s daggers (Ragnarok), Loki’s daggers (TV show), Sylvie sword, and Gungnir spear. Most of these I printed on my CR6 using black PLA+ with 20% infill and glued parts together with super glue. To smooth out the prints, used a combo of sanding, wood filler, and spray paint filler. Then finished with silver leaf / gold leaf Rub ‘N Buff and acrylic paint (green or sparkly blue).
The Scepter
Printed the scepter gem with blue transparent PETG and 20% infill (with painters tape). To light the scepter, inserted 2 strands of 3.3ft LED strip lights.
The Daggers
Loki uses daggers marvelously in both the movies and show. Of course I made both versions 🙂
Sylvie Sword
GUNGNIR Spear
This is the longest object I’ve 3D printed to-date.
The Tesseract
Printed the tesseract with blue transparent PETG and 20% infill (with painters tape). To light the scepter, inserted 2 strands of 3.3ft LED strip lights.

Bracers
Sewed the arm bracers using faux leather fabric; added gold ribbon (the same as the neck armor) to the trim.
Other Accessories
Bought additional accessories from Amazon: green chiffon skirt, black ruffle skirt, fingerless gloves, black boots, and black/green cape.
STL Renaissance Festival
Loki Variants, Thor, and TVA Agent
We had a blast at the Renaissance Festival with our friends Geran and Anne, that we met two years ago after competing against each other the Game of Thrones costume contest. This is the 3rd year in a row we’ve won costume contests 🙂
Ballpark Village Halloween Party
Sylvie brought the mischief to the CarnEVIL themed BPV party by taking down other Loki variants and even mind-controlling Kiss!
