I’ve always dreamed of creating a Land of Sweets Christmas theme after falling in love with all the pretty pink candy décor lining the craft store aisles. Inspired by my favorite childhood game – Candy Land (the 1984 classic!) – this holiday setup brings those sugary, pastel dreams to life with gingerbread houses, lollipops, and a touch of nostalgic magic.
Mediterranean Cruise – Italy, Croatia, Greece, Turkey
On our Mediterranean cruise we visited 11 destinations in 6 countries across 2 continents aboard the world’s newest cruise ship, the Norwegian Viva. The places we visited included: 1) Italy (Venice, Trieste), 2) San Marino, 3) Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split), 4) Greece (Athens, Santorini, Corfu), 5) Turkey (Istanbul, Kusadasi/Ephesus), and Germany (Munich).
Turtle Power: TMNT Mutant Mayhem Halloween
Our TMNT Mutant Mayhem Halloween was totally tubular! We served up shell-shocking fun for partygoers and trick-or-treaters alike—with gobs of glowing toxic ooze (both slime and jello shots), radical cowabunga crafting, and an epic superhero showdown that would’ve made Master Splinter proud. We also saw the return of RaphaElektra and DaredevElangelo!
This Astrid cosplay was such a rewarding project to build for my niece! I 3D printed nearly every part of her Viking gear – the battle axe, shoulder armor, and detail parts for the skirt and headband. The real fun came in the post-processing: painting and weathering everything to make it look authentically worn from dragon training. Watching her proudly wield her axe and channel her inner Astrid was the perfect reminder of why I love crafting and cosplay – it’s all about imagination, creativity, and a little bit of Viking spirit!
Our Loki Season 2 premiere party was filled with much mischief, and we tried everything! The menu included the death of Mobius’ salad, Love is a Dagger cocktail, Shapeshifter’s Skillingsbolle topped with Loki Charms, and Happy Meals with Mischievous McNuggets, Sylvie’s salty fries, and Time Variance Apples (TVA).
Rogers Centre, nestled in the heart of downtown Toronto, offers a distinctly urban baseball experience with its retractable roof, city skyline, and proximity to top attractions like Roundhouse Park. When the dome is open, the view of the illuminated CN Tower rising above right field adds a dramatic and unforgettable touch to the game-day atmosphere. While the stadium’s concrete-heavy design and steep upper decks can feel dated or cramped, it redeems itself with the lively and innovative Outfield District – a multi-level social space filled with bars, games, lounges, and even a DJ, Xbox consoles, and live music. Concessions are solid, with Dugout Deals stands providing affordable snacks and the adventurous poutine hot dog offering a uniquely Canadian twist. Outside, the Roundhouse Park area is a destination in itself, with spots like Steam Whistle Brewery and The Rec Room drawing big crowds and serving as the perfect pregame hangouts. While the fans were friendly and energetic – complete with chants, waves, and loyalty even in a late-game deficit – the stadium could benefit from better airflow, modernized concourses, and more visible team history throughout. Still, for a dome stadium, Rogers Centre delivers a memorable, uniquely Toronto ballpark experience.
We love both Daredevil and TMNT and have yet to see a crossover for this cosplay. Since Daredevil inspired TMNT, this crossover was the perfect cosplay for us to create! We unveiled DaredevElangelo (Daredevil/Michelangelo) and RaphaElektra (Raphael/Elektra) at the Fan EXPO Canada when we met Charlie Cox.
Artifacts & Appetites: A Night with Indiana Jones
Whipped up a 3D-printing adventure worthy of Indy himself, including several iconic Indiana Jones relics—the Golden Fertility Idol, Headpiece to the Staff of Ra, Holy Grail, and Cross of Coronado. Used them to set the stage for a wildly fun themed dinner with a rolling meatball over a sea of spaghetti snakes, some very bad dates, and a creepy Temple of Doom dirt cake that would make Short Round scream.
