Cardinals Baseball Cake Pops

I made these Cardinals baseball cake pops for a bake sale during the 2013 MLB playoffs, just in time for the 2013 NLCS clincher!

The cake flavor was red velvet of course! I crumbed the baked cake and mixed in cream cheese frosting (store bought because it’s more stable). I formed them into balls, inserted the pop stick, and then chilled in the fridge. For decorating, I used melted white almond bark (colored with gel paste), and red sugar. I even repurposed the half-baseball table card holders from our Cardinals baseball wedding. I brought leftovers to celebrate at the NLCS game clincher!
